VOLÉE – WOODLAND: LEA – LEAD EXCLUSIVE AREA

NITTO ATP FINALS

13–20 November, 2022

We are glad to introduce you to “Volée”: the new installation by Serena Confalonieri part of WOODLAND, the art and design exhibition inaugurated at LEA – LEAD EXCLUSIVE AREA at Teatro dei Ragazzi in Turin, on the occasion of Nitto Atp Finals tennis tournament, curated by Claudia Pignatale and Giorgio Galotti.

The exhibition project is conceived for LEA, the format created to welcome ATP, Sport e Salute and the Italian Tennis Federation international guests.

“Volée” is a floral composition that emerges and comes to life from Flexible Polyurethane Foam panels, made by Pelma S.p.A.: Serena Confalonieri decided to use Polyurethane Foam panels for the reception, the benches and the tables, all cutted with a vertical motif that recalls classic columns.

Dried plants and flowers sprout from the yellow and grey Polyutrethane Foam elements: the vegetation is here a static and eternal element that takes possession of the architecture and activates an alienating sense halfway between fiction and reality.

The result is an installation that evokes lightness and grace: the soft curved shapes of this floral cloud recall the graceful and harmonious movements of tennis players on the court.
